Coaching

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer coach in the Hendersonville Soccer Club! At HSC we work closely with the Hendersonville Parks Department in many areas. One key area of our partnership is in our coach certification program.

It is a REQUIREMENT of HSC and the City of Hendersonville that ALL head coaches be certified through the NYSCA (National Youth Sports Coaches Association).

Completing this certification requires two key steps

  • The coach must complete the NYSCA classroom certification and the soccer specific certification. The NYSCA class can be completed either in person at one of the scheduled class times see calendar or via the On-Line class (see NYSCA link below).
  • The coach must sign and turn in the Volunteer in youth Sports Consent/Release Form  and attend the Soccer Specific Coaches Meeting. (see events and schedule for more information).

The cost of the NYSCA Class is $25.00 and is the responsibility of the coach – not HSC or the City of Hendersonville. This certification is transferable to other sports in Hendersonville. To take the NYSCA class on line, please follow these directions. You may want to print this page so you have the information available as you enter the website. Please copy and paste the address below into your browser or click on the NYSCA link below:
